Expanding its Reach Internationally
Agreements call for emergency tracking system to be sold
Canadian and US based distributors
Ann Arbor, MI (September 23, 2009) – OnSite ERT™, a
portable and rapidly deployable system used for tracking and monitoring
emergency responders, announced today it has signed reseller agreements
with US Identifications and Canadian-based Falken Secure Networks.
The partnerships call for Falken Secure Networks and US Identifications
to add OnSite ERT and OnSite Central to their portfolio of services
offered and supported.
“Having partnerships with two companies that have such
outstanding track records, both here in the United States and
throughout Canada, is giving us the opportunity to get OnSite
ERT and OnSite Central into the hands of more and more emergency
responders,” said Dennis Carmichael, president and founder
of OnSite ERT. “We are confident that once they see the
capability of our tracking systems, they will instantly realize
the need for it in their community.”
Headquartered in Toronto, Falken Secure Networks specializes
in selling secure integrated communications and RFID networks
for national and global enterprises. Based in New Jersey, US Identifications
is a leading distributor of systems that can create and produce
photo identification cards, as well as access and magnetic stripe
cards. The partnerships with Falken Secure Networks and US Identifications
are the fifth and sixth reseller agreements OnSite ERT has signed
in the past year. ERT Systems already has agreements in place
with Douglas Safety Systems in Michigan, Anclote Fire Safety in
Florida, BizEXC in Texas and Berks Emergency Equipment in Pennsylvania.
OnSite ERT uses a combination of lightweight ID tags, portable
drop readers and incident command software that provides a clear
sense of an emergency scene in real time – all from the
screen of a laptop. The innovative tracking system is the creation
of Carmichael, a technology expert, and retired firefighter John
Ellis. The tracking system is currently being used in more than
40 departments, in the United States and Canada, with more on
the way.
The system, which typically costs between $25,000 and $50,000
per fire station, provides electronic data demonstrating that
rules were followed on scene, which helps limit legal risks in
the event of a tragedy. Often, departments use local and national
grants to help offset the costs of OnSite ERT.
As a way to upgrade the system and allow for increased inter-departmental
capabilities, OnSite ERT Central was introduced by Carmichael
and Ellis in August. OnSite ERT Central allows users to automatically
track emergency responders from multiple agencies that show up
to assist in the combined efforts. OnSite ERT Central keeps up-to-date
records of every emergency responder registered in the OnSite
ERT network, giving incident commanders the freedom to have full
access to the vital data they need during each emergency situations.
